How a window job runs

What actually happens, including the two steps this market forces.

  1. STEP 01

    Count the panes

    Pricing is per pane, with exterior-only and inside-and-out as separate rates.

  2. STEP 02

    Screens off

    Solar screens removed and set aside in order. On most Vegas homes this is the first real labor of the job.

  3. STEP 03

    Assess for mineral etching

    Overspray damage identified before washing, because it needs a different treatment and it changes the number.

  4. STEP 04

    Wash and squeegee

    Glass washed, edges detailed, tracks and sills cleared.

  5. STEP 05

    Acid treatment where needed

    Mineral-etched panes treated separately. Quoted as its own line, never buried in a blended rate.

  6. STEP 06

    Screens back on

    Screens cleaned and refitted where they came from.
